Karen Helen is a small family business, founded by Karen and her two daughters, Kaitlyn and Liz. We are second and third generation seamstresses, with decades of experience in sewing and design. Over that time our style has evolved, but quality of production and attention to detail has always been the main focus. We aim to provide simple, timeless, and beautiful handmade items for you and your home that you’ll love for years to come.

Karen Helen products are made from natural fabrics, mainly linen and cotton. Linen is one of our favorite fabrics to work with. It’s durable, absorbent and breathable, with the ability to keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Linen is famous for its wrinkled look, and gets softer and lovelier over time.

Our mud cloth pieces are made from vintage mud cloth from Mali, Africa. Mud cloth textiles are 100% cotton, made with natural dyes.
